TARRANT COUNTY SEES STRONG GROWTH IN REAL ESTATE SALES

In Tarrant County, 20 of the 32 submarkets saw increased sales, including strong growth in Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake.  Arlington saw positive sales trends for the month, except in the far southwest. 

North Texas home sales are off to a good start this year up 14% in January from a year ago according to the latest figures from the Texas A & M University's Real Estate Center.  Pending sales were up 16% from a year ago.  This data comes from the Multiple Listing Service run by real estate agents; covering 29 North Texas Counties.

Market professionals have predicted a slight increase this year, but the market is not expected to fully recover until 2013.
